Albert Wurst is a North Hills native of Pittsburgh.  He started his career at the age of sixteen, working alongside his father, who was head of maintenance at Federated Investors.  After graduating from high school, he was hired by Federated as a computer operator and worked his way up the ladder in the IT department.  But when he was eighteen he developed a love for audio & video whilst researching a stereo for his Z28 Camaro.

He was offered a job at the Listening Post in the Gibsonia mall after stunning the owner with what he could do.  “I installed my own stereo and impressed the manager enough that they offered me a job.”

Albert continued to install high-end audio systems on the side until the demands of his IT career caused him to leave what he truly loved doing.  Then after ten years, he left Federated and became an IT Manager at the Carnegie group.  “I spent 33 years managing complex systems that helped prepare me for my future as the owner of Listen Hear.”

His combined thirty-three years of IT experience, knowledge of construction and his love of audio & video caused him to open his dream business, Listen Hear Home Entertainment and Automation, in 2008.  What he has created is a family
